Telkom Use U.S. and European Consultants 'Seize' Shares Telkomsel

Jakarta - PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) will select three advisors related to the purchase of shares of Singapore Telecom (SingTel) in Telkomsel. Two of the three advisors from the United States and Europe.

This was conveyed by Telkom president director Rinaldi Firmansyah, when met at the House of the Ministry of SOEs, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, Thursday (15/09/2011).

"Five candidates have entered advisor today but have not dipilih.Kita will choose one to three advisors. If domestic Inshallah PT Bahana Securities, foreign while there are two that will come from the United States and Europe," he said.

Then Rinaldi said the election advisors will be completed within 10 days. Advisors will help Telkom to provide input and associated restruktur buying shares in Telkomsel SingTel. According to Rinaldi, the purchase of shares in Telkomsel SingTel is a priority of Telkom.

As is known, Telkom re interested in buying shares in Telkomsel SingTel invested by 35%. If the share repurchase is the case then Telkom will again have a stake in Telkomsel by 100%. Approval of share repurchase plan was approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) Telkom some time ago.

Related to the addition of directors Telkomsel, Rinaldi said, the addition of directors from five to delapann Telkomsel continue in the talks. Rinaldi asserted, in the arrangement of the new directors Telkomsel forward there will be no vice president.

"No Chief Operating Officer (CCO). We are holding talks, which are important from five to eight," he said.
